This summer, Stephenville Parks and Recreation Department will team up with Texstar Ford Lincoln to present the 13th annual Summer Night Concert Series in the Birdsong Amphitheater in the Stephenville City Park. The concerts are free to attend.

Drew Wells, who helps put on the events said to Michael Ross in the Area-Wide Business & Commerce Journal, “Doug Montgomery [owner of Texstar Ford] has a passion for this music and a strong desire to give back to the community.”

There will be four more concerts throughout the summer. These concerts are June 20, July 4, July 18, and Aug. 1.

The first concert on June 20 starts at 8 p.m. and features Asleep At The Wheel.

The next concert on July 4 runs from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will feature Max Stallings, Davin James and Erath County resident, Larry Joe Taylor. Since it is Independence Day, fireworks will follow the concerts.

The next concert, on July 18, starts at 8 p.m. and will feature Gary P. Nunn.

Finally, to end out the summer series, on Aug. 1 the concert will kick off at 8 p.m. and host Johnny Bush and Tommy Alverson.
