Golden Chick has been operating in Stephenville, TX for a few years now, and is best known for their buckets of chicken and their rolls.

I ordered the chicken tender sandwich special. It was a delicious sandwich with two chicken tenders graciously covered with honey mustard, placed in the middle of their famous rolls. The meal came with fries and a drink, but the fries were not cooked completely through.

The service was not as quick as most would like, considering it is a fast-food restaurant. It seems there is always a wait in the drive-thru line with the cars wrapping all the way around, but the service inside is slightly faster. Along with the slow service, some of the customer’s orders had to be substituted with different sides from what they preferred which seemed to displease them. The seating inside had several tables open that way there is no worry about finding somewhere to sit down. As in a normal fast-food, the tables are placed closer together and it is loud and hard to hear while you are dinning in.

Overall Golden Chick has great food quality. Their chicken and rolls were both satisfying. Some other items on the menu are wings and livers, and different sides are mashed potatoes coleslaw and okra.

If you have the time, stop in for some tasty chicken but be prepared to wait. I would enjoy eating the food again as long as I had the time to wait and would prefer to just take it home.
