Tarleton’s choirs will present “Sing, Dream, Dance-The Choirs of Tarleton State University” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center theater.  

As the title implies, this first performance of the semester for the choirs is a joint effort that includes The University Singers, Select Women’s Ensemble and the Tarleton Chamber Choir, all under the helm of the new choir director Dr. Troy Robertson. This performance will feature a wide array of music Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary periods, as well as jazz and Afro-fusion. Pianist Steve Chambers and other guest musicians will accompany the vocals.  The Chamber Choir will also premier a new work, A Dream Within a Dream, by Jeffrey Benson.

Admission is $5 for adults or free with a valid Tarleton ID. Tickets will go on sale at the Fine Arts Center Box Office one hour before the concert.
