On Tuesday, January 24, Mi Familia is hosting a fundraiser for the Thornburg family from 5-8 p.m. for employee James Thornburg and his wife Madelynn’s daughter’s medical expenses.

Tinleigh Jo Thornburg was born on January 11, 2017 at 23 weeks.

“Mi Familia is truly a family and when one of our own needs help, we want to be there for them,” Amber Ferguson, administration assistant, said. “James has been a wonderful employee, a great asset to our company and the community. In his time of need, we want to step up and, at the same time, reach out to Stephenville. It’s this spirit of pitching in that makes our town so special.”

According to Ferguson, only monetary donations are being accepted at this time. During the fundraiser, all profits will be going towards the Thornburg family, while staff will also be donating a portion of their tips as well.
