Tailgate Snacks: Lit’l Smokies’ Crescent Rolls

Kiley Kocian

A very picked over finished product of Lit’l Smokies’ Crescent Rolls.

In my opinion, the best thing about tailgating is the food. So, when my mom made these Lit’l Smokie Crescent Rolls for a Cowboys vs Packers game many years ago, I filed away this recipe to make later on. This recipe is incredibly easy to make and only takes a total of 20 minutes to bake.
Equipment needed:
•Large baking sheet
Ingredients:
•2 tins of Pillsbury Butter Flake Crescent Rolls
•1 package of Hillshire Farms Lit’l Smokies’
•Butter cooking spray
Recipe:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2.Remove the crescent rolls from the tin and separate them on the precut lines. They should look like big long triangles.
3.Cut those triangles in half long ways. [Tip: if you think a triangle is too big, you can cut them into thirds]
4.Once you have your crescent roll pieces ready, place the Lit’l Smokies’ at the wide end of the triangle and roll them up!
5.Spray your baking sheet with the butter cooking spray.
6.Place the Lit’l Smokie rolls on the baking sheet 1 inch apart.
7.Put in oven for 10 to 13 minutes. [Tip: I recommend checking on them frequently to make sure they don’t burn! My oven gets hotter than it says it is]
8.Serve and enjoy! You can serve these with whatever sauce you’d like. Mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce, honey mustard, etc
This recipe costs around $10 and serves roughly five people.
