The Boom Town Jam is a new celebration of the grand opening of the Lone Star Theatre Bar in Ranger, Texas. The bar has been under restoration and renovation for months, and is now ready to re-open with a music festival hosted by Lucky 13 Presents. On May 21st the festival, Boom Town Jam, will feature many Texas Red Dirt artists including Cody Canada and the Departed, Cory Morrow, and Charlie Robison.

Lone Star Theatre Bar was originally built in the 1920’s in the heart of Ranger, Texas, however in the last 90 years it has fallen into disrepair. Recently bought from the Ranger Historical Preservation Society, current owner Chad Cunningham has been eagerly trying to restore the bar to its original glory.

Cunningham wanted to bring people to Ranger for the grand opening, therefore the Boom Town Jam was formed. Cunningham and Lucky 13 Presents banded together to bring in a line-up of multiple Texas Red Dirt artists in the hopes that people would show up and have a great time listening to live music.

Cory Morrow spoke about a few of the things that he is excited about on the 21st. “I’m honored to share the stage with such amazing people. These artists are some of the most talented individuals I’ve ever seen.” Morrow also stated that he is looking forward to a lot of fun at the jam.

The hopes for the Boom Town Jam will be that there will be a festival every year with live music and the streets closed down. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Ranger, TX.
