The Tarleton State University Texan basketball team hosted their final game of the 2015-2016 season against the West Teas A&M Buffs. The Texans asserted dominance the entire game and came out with an 87-82 win in their finale.

The Texans honored five seniors in the final game in Wisdom Gym. Malcolm Hamilton, Charles Hill, EJ Reed, Jakob Damstra and Michael Hardge were honored for their time played for the Texans.

The Texans began the game on the offensive attack, with Hardge scoring first for the

Texans with a massive dunk. The Texans continued on the offensive attack heading into half-time leading, 34-28.

When the Texans returned for the second half, they began shooting lights out, taking a massive 25-point lead with just over six minutes left in the game. The Buffs however, began capitalizing on fouls and mistakes made by the Texans and were able to cut the Texans’ lead to just four points, but their efforts weren’t enough and the Texans won 87-82.

Four Texans recorded double figures in their home finale, with Hardge leading the Texans with 21 points in his final game at Wisdom Gym.

The Texans will end their regular season on the road on Saturday February 27, against Texas A&M University-Commerce.
