Summer commencement set for Aug. 9

Tarleton State University will conduct summer commencement exercises on Saturday, Aug. 9, with approximately 500 graduates receiving diplomas.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University will conduct summer commencement exercises on Saturday, Aug. 9, with approximately 500 graduates receiving diplomas.

Three ceremonies are scheduled in the Wisdom Gymnasium, beginning at 10 a.m. for those receiving bachelor’s degrees from the College of Business Administration and the College of Science and Technology.

A second ceremony at 1 p.m. will include all master’s candidates from the College of Graduate Studies. All master’s candidates will receive their hoods upon crossing the stage at commencement, unlike past year’s when separate hooding ceremonies were held.

The final commencement exercises will be held at 3:30 p.m. for bachelor’s candidates from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the College of Education and the College of Liberal and Fine Arts.

Tarleton President F. Dominic Dottavio will preside as 356 bachelor’s and 142 master’s degrees will be awarded.
