On Sunday Oct. 14, men’s and women’s basketball teams will host the annual Midnight Madness at Tarleton’s Wisdom Gym. Doors are scheduled to open at 11:15 p.m. and admission is free.

Midnight Madness is a fun way for fans to have an opportunity to be introduced to the new season’s basketball players. This event has been a long-standing part of Tarleton tradition past for 18 years.

Since it is against NCAA rules for basketball teams to practice before October 15 the women’s basketball team will run onto the court at 12:01 a.m. sharp. The men’s basketball team will follow later in the morning.

During the event the basketball teams will have a chance to showcase their skills. Texan and TexAnn players will be announced during the performance practice.

Many school related organizations will be participating in Midnight Madness. Both cheer squads and the Texan Stars dance team will perform during the event. Tarleton’s The Sound & The Fury marching band will also be present to keep fans on their feet.

Free T-shirts will be handed out to fans that come and celebrate.
