JTAC – What is your real name?

AI – Sydney Scott.

 

JTAC – How did you choose your name?

AI – I’m a very big comic book nerd and I couldn’t think of anything to go with Wonder Woman, so I

went with Batman.

 

JTAC – What is your major?

AI – Theater and art.

 

JTAC – How do you go from theater and art to roller derby?

AI – Built up aggression. No, I have a background of sports so I just fell in love.

 

JTAC – What position do you play?

AI – Blocker.

 

JTAC- How long have you been playing?

AI – Three months.

 

JTAC – Have you ever been injured?

AI – No, not in derby.

 

JTAC – Are you excited about the new arena?

AI – Oh, my goodness, yes. The more people to watch, it’s just going to be a better way for us to involve the community and skate regulation so we can get certified.

 

JTAC – Do you have any other duties on the team?

AI – I don’t have a title, but we all do what we can with the fundraisers.

 

JTAC – What is your favorite part about this entire thing?

AI – The sisterhood, I don’t really get along with other girls that much and this is a group that I feel welcome and felt a part of since the day I joined.

 

JTAC – What is your favorite part of the game?

AI – The competition, I did a lot of sports in high school but since I got to college, theater isn’t much of a competition and this is a competitive outlet.
