Self defense for Spring Break

The recreational center will be offering the class “Self Defense Tactics – Reality Based Training” this Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. The lunchtime lesson will be held in room 105 and will offer students the professional training they need in order to stay safe during spring break.

The session will include discussions on basic safety tips, how to protect yourself walking to and from your car and how to escape a chokehold. David Presley, the Vice President and lead instructor of Reality Defense- Reality Based Training from Hico, TX, will be instructing the class.

Shanna Moody, the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator says, “This will be useful to the students especially as they are about to go on Spring Break. They can learn ways to stay safe and keep themselves out of harm’s way.”

The training session is open to all faculty, staff and students of any skill level who would like to learn how to defend themselves in the proper manner.
