Get well soon Dr. Donald Keith!

Dr. Donald Keith was hospitalized this week after a minor heart attack; he is currently at Harris Methodist in Ft. Worth.

 

Keith has been teaching in the Biology Department at Tarleton for 37 years. He’s taught General Animal and Plant Biology, Invertebrate Zoology, Ecology, Limnology, Marine Ecology, Introduction to Marine Biology and numerous graduate courses.

 

Dr. Keith has received several awards for his teaching, an O.A. Grant Award for Teaching Excellence in 2000, Faculty Achievement Awards in 2001 and 2005 and a Jack and Louise Arthur Excellence in Teaching Award in 2010. Keith retired from full-time teaching in August 2010, but will continue teaching full time during the spring semesters.

 

“We wish him the best,” said Dr. Calahan on behalf of the Biology department. The J-TAC would also like to express that Dr. Keith is in our thoughts and prayers and we wish him a speedy recovery.
