Tis the Season Spook House open for the season in Stephenville
October 20, 2017
Tis the Season Spook House is now open for the season!
Jayden Stoker, part owner of the family-run business, said, “We started it as a family idea. One day, we just decided to start a haunted house. We planned on it being a very small one, but it turned into a big, three-room 35,000 square foot haunted house.”
In addition to the haunted house, there will be a concession stand, a kid’s spook house and carnival games. The kids’ attractions cost one dollar for entrance, and each ticket for games cost a quarter a piece. If you bring a kid under the age of 12, plan on sticking around with them in the kids’ area.
The family asks that you do not wear masks when attending the haunted house. The Halloween costume night has already passed, so just show up as yourself! Also, no phones, bags or weapons of any kind are permitted in the house. A concession stand is on site, so no outside food or drinks may be brought in.
The last tickets will be sold at midnight each night, but you can still go all the way through the house after that time. If you are unable to make it this year, you can try again next year!
“As of now we plan on opening again, but anything can happen,” Stoker added.
Overall, the house has had very positive reviews on their Facebook page. One happy customer said, “RAVE that we have a reasonably priced haunted house that’s local!”
Another said “Tis the Season was full of good, clean fun for me and my boys.”
Tis the Season Spook House is open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night until Halloween. Admission costs $20 per person and tickets will be sold from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. every night. They are located at the Erath County Livestock Arena, 2389 FM 205, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
