Leprachauns galore
Dublin St. Patrick’s Day festival
If you are lacking plans for the days of March 16 through 18, make sure to mark your calendars as The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has just the event for you. They will be holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival for not only Dublin, but for Erath county and any surrounding towns.
This festival is full of wonderful events that you surely will not want to miss. From pageants to cook-offs, there is something for every guest to enjoy.
On Thursday, March 16, the Little Miss Dublin Pageant will be held at 7 p.m.
On Friday, March 17, there will be live music, vendors, another pageant and more.
On Saturday, March 18, the fun really begins. This day is jam packed with all things St. Patricks. They have bingo, a Little Leprechaun pageant, the parade, vendors, and so much more. The events taking place this day begin at 6 a.m. and do not end until 7 p.m.
The music being held at the event consists of celtic music and bagpipes. This could possibly be a chance to see an instrument being played that you never thought you would, or hear a type of music that you have never heard of.
While all this sounds very exciting, this festival seems to have a main event. This is the Irish Stew Cook Off.
It is 25 dollars to enter and one dollar to taste. The top three winners will be given trophies and prizes. It is being held at the Dublin City Park and you are welcome to join as an individual, team, or business. The set up will be at 7 a.m. and the judging will be at 12:30 p.m.
