“Tayler and I want everyone on this campus to feel at home. People come to Tarleton because of the ‘hometown’ feel, and we want everyone to feel welcome. The Tarleton family would not be the same without the people on this campus. Tarleton is the stepping stone for the rest of our lives and we need to embrace that as we grow and move forward. Everyone matters on this campus and everyone belongs here.”

“Second, student involvement on this campus is vital to ensure that each individual has the best experience possible throughout their college career. Each organization, no matter size, has a place on this campus. Tayler and I want to be made available to assist in any capacity to enable growth.”

“Finally, Stephenville must improve to meet the needs of the student population. With that being said, Tayler and I want to meet with the administration and the City of Stephenville to grow this community to fit the needs of the Tarleton family. Although results may not be immediate, we will be proactive in moving toward growth, as there is little to know progress on this issue at the moment.”

Why are we fit for these positions:

Dominic Procaccino:

As the current Student Body Vice President, I have learned so much throughout my time in Student Government Association. I have had the pleasure to serve as the voice of the students on the Division One Task Force as well as other committees within SGA. We, the students have so much influence on this campus and it starts with Student Government Association. However, a majority of the students don’t know this information. When current Student Body President, Mason Barker and I took office, we came in with a vision for SGA. The vision was to make students aware that SGA can do so much on this campus. We have accomplished a lot in SGA this year including reaching out to the Tarleton satellite campuses and incorporating them into our congress. Other highlights include revamping the legislative process and restructuring this organization as a whole. We have passed ten legislation pieces this year (with more on the horizon), which is a record for SGA. Most years we maybe have two or three. Mason and I feel as if we have done a good job with turning this organization around, but there is still work to be done. With that being said, Tayler and I want to pick up right where Mason and I are leaving off.  Our slogan for our campaign this year is “We’ve planted the seed, now its time to water the tree.” It is time for SGA to be the organization it once was on this campus. Tayler and I are ready to carry on the legacy and make this campus Bleed Purple once again.

Tayler Berlin:

I have been involved in the Student Government Association for a year and a half now and have a true passion for the organization. I chose to run for Vice President this year because I feel that I am a level headed and unbiased candidate who will always focus on what is best for the Tarleton student body as a whole. I love this university and want to help all my fellow students to feel the same way. I am confident that Dom and I will be able to serve the student body in an inclusive manner that exemplifies Tarleton’s core values.
