This upcoming Saturday, Nov. 2, the Tarleton Veterans Association, Tarleton Corps of Cadets, and Tarleton ROTC wants to invite you to the Military Appreciation Game Day in the Memorial Stadium parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Prior to the tailgate and football game, Tarleton’s Corps of Cadets and the marching band will head up Rudder Way to meet the football players and cheerleaders to continue their trek to Memorial Stadium.

Last year, the Corps of Cadets performed the same march and LTC Lee Evans, assistant commandant of the Texan Corps of Cadets, found “the Pointe-du-Hoc spirit and support from the Corps joins with the students and cheerleaders to inspire the football team from the perspective of following Gen. Rudder into battle.”

For this year’s march, attendees will feel the same energy going into Saturday’s game. The march begins at the dining facility, symbolizing pre D-Day preparations by the Rangers who scaled Pointe-du-Hoc.

Following the march will be tailgate with food, games, and football as well as the Wainright Rifles Half Time Show. Admission is free for veterans.
