The Leadership and Service awards are an event that students and staff await every year. This award ceremony is conducted in the spring every year and the award recipients must be nominated and looked upon by a reviewal board. The program is under the advisory of Darrell Brown.

To be featured in the Leadership and Service Awards, one must first apply on Texan Sync through a self nomination or you can be nominated by someone else. Students and staff are advised to nominate one person per category and the due date for the applications this year is right around the corner. These applications opened on December 13, 2021 and will be closing on Feb. 18. 

The ceremony will be held on Apr. 8 in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms. The event guests are by invitation only, making this a prestigious event. The guest seats are for recipients only and all others will be asked to join via livestream.
