Car accident claims life of Tarleton Student

Another Tarleton state university student, Hannah Russell, has died. Russell, 21, was a senior Education Major from Burleson, TX. And was also a former Residential Leader for Hunewell Annex.

The accident occurred on Thursday, July 21st on US Highway 67, just north of Stephenville.

According to Texas DPS PIO Sr. Trooper Dub Gillum in a statement made to The Flash Today “For some unknown reason, the vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway and up onto a guardrail near County Road 184. The vehicle rolled multiple times ejecting the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace S. Bass, Stephenville.”

Following the recent passing of Alex Sanchez, Russell is the second Tarleton Student to pass this summer.
