Several students responded they would like to see a 24-hour hangout spot in the Texan Village clubhouse or the café attached to the dining hall. These ideas, along with others, will be proposed by Olsen.

Last semester, Tarleton State University students began to hear of the development a 24-Hour spot on campus and took a poll giving their opinion on the idea. Students’ responses to the poll helped to unanimously pass the legislation in Tarleton House of Representatives.

“I personally think a 24-hour hang out space with computers and printers would be very beneficial to the students,” Tarleton’s Vice President of Campus Operation Delaney Olsen said. “I am hopeful that the administration of our wonderful university will be willing to work with students to meet our needs for such a space.”

Several students responded they would like to see a 24-hour hangout spot in the Texan Village clubhouse or the café attached to the dining hall. These ideas, along with others, will be proposed by Olsen.

“If Dr. Minkler and Tarleton are interested in pursuing a 24-hour hang out space, I will keep both Houses of the Student Government up to date on my progress with the location and other details of the space. These updates will be presented during the executive report portion of each respective meeting. Students should ask their House Representatives to keep their organizations in the loop about all pieces of legislation,” Olsen said.

If anyone has any questions or comments on the legislation, they can email the House at [email protected] or attend the House meetings every other Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. in Nursing Building Room 107.
