In the midst of renovations, Tarleton Center has completed a new feature for student use.

With so much construction and growth happening on the Tarleton State University campus, it can be a little hard to tell what’s finished and what isn’t. One part of campus that is newly completed is the Tarleton Texan Services desk in the Tarleton Center. Located towards the front of campus, Tarleton Center is currently under renovation and houses admissions, financial aid, residential living and learning, scholarships and the Texan Card office.

With the new service desk, student services in the building will be more organized. Upon arrival students will sign in at a kiosk or at the information desk. From there the student can give an idea of what area they need assistance with and be placed onto a list in the order they signed in. They will then be called from this list and directed to where they need to go and whom they need to speak with.

If a student’s question can be easily answered the Texan Services staff will be trained to directly assist students with many questions from each of these service areas. If a student’s questions require more specialized assistance, they will be directed to a staff member trained to provide better assistance, as soon as one becomes available.

Should a student need assistance from someone in  the Military Veterans Service Center, they do not need to sign in and can go directly to the Military Veterans Service Center office which is located on the ground floor of the Tarleton Center, in room 144.

The program aims to reduce frustration in seeking assistance by creating a more organized experience for students and faculty alike.
