While for some the fall season might mean football, many TexAnns the fall means more bumping, setting and spiking in a fresh new volleyball season. The Tarleton State University TexAnns are getting ready to tackle the 2014 season with full force.

Coming off of a 15-14 overall record, 8-8 Lone Star Conference record, and being ranked Number 5 over all in the Lone Star Conference preseason polls, the TexAnns know there is room for improvement.

The TexAnns are looking to not only go to the Lone Star Conference tournament, as they’ve done the last seven out of nine years under Coach Mary Schindler, but to make a deep postseason run.

The TexAnns, who lost four All-Conference seniors from last season, were able to pick up three new freshman recruits in the offseason to groom into future All-Conference players.

In addition, former TexAnn Jessie Hartman, who played all four years for the TexAnns as an All-Conference player, makes her way back with the TexAnns to serve as an assistant coach.

With four seniors on this year’s roster, the TexAnns are confident in their veteran players to lead the newest TexAnns both on and off the court.
