STEPHENVILLE – In a Friday morning press conference at Wisdom Gym, the Tarleton State Athletics department has announced the creation of the Tarleton Sports Network.

 The TSN is a rebranding of all the multimedia and broadcast elements within the athletic department and is designed to give Tarleton Athletics a uniform brand for all radio broadcasts, webcasts, videos and multimedia.

 In addition to the creation of TSN, Tarleton has created a new partnership with the 90.5 KTRL to serve as the flagship radio station for all Tarleton Athletic Broadcasts.

 “This is a historic day for the Tarleton State University Athletics Department,” said Tarleton head coach Lonn Reisman. “This exciting new opportunity allows us to have exclusivity in our broadcasts and when you want to hear Tarleton Athletics on your radio, you know where to find us on your dial.”

 This is the first year that KTRL will be the primary home of Tarleton Athletics and it gives TSN an exclusive home to be heard on one signal all season long. KTRL carries a signal that reaches across 16 counties in North and Central Texas covering an audience of 2,797,484 possible listeners.

 The games will also be broadcast free of charge on TarletonSports.com so listeners from around the world can tune into the broadcast.

 “For the past several years, we have had a great partnership with KSTV: The Mighty 93 and we want to thank Boots Elliott and his staff for all they have done for us,” said Reisman. “We have had a great partnership with KSTV and we will continue to have a great relationship with them.”

 Finally, Tarleton Sports Network will include a three-man broadcast team which includes the “Voice of the Texans,” Casey Hogan as well as new additions, Keltin Weins and Andrew Hansen.

 Weins joins the team as the “Voice of the TexAnns,” serving as the primary play-by-play voice of the women’s basketball team, sideline reporter and pre-game/post-game show host for football broadcasts. He will also do select softball, volleyball and baseball games as well.

 Hansen will serve as the color commentator for the Texan Football broadcasts. A 2004 graduate of Stephenville High School, Hansen played safety for four seasons at Howard Payne University, earning all-conference honors, before stepping into a coaching role with HPU. He has also hosted the Saturday morning scoreboard show on 93.1 FM KSTV.

 The first scheduled broadcast on the Tarleton Sports Network is scheduled for September 13 at 7 p.m. when Tarleton State Football visits West Texas A&M in Canyon.
