Last weekend the Tarleton State University Equestrian Team traveled to West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas to compete in the final regular IHSA hunt seat show of the season.

On Saturday, March 8, Michelle Mohr placed 3rd in Novice Equitation Over Fences and Lauren Beren placed 6th in Novice Equitation Over Fences.  Kelli Bannert placed 2nd in Beginner Walk Trot Equitation on the Flat.

Sunday was the hunt seat regional championships that rider’s must qualify for.  TSEqT had their first rider qualify this year. Michelle Mohr competed in Advanced Walk Trot Canter Equitation on the Flat and out of the 13 schools in the region, she took the title of Reserve Champion and will be representing Tarleton at the IHSA Zone 7 Hunt Seat Finals in Wisconsin, hosted by the University of Wisconsin at Madison on April 13th.
