Navigating Ride Systems

The shuttle service at Tarleton State University switched back to City and Rural Rides [CARR] this past Monday.

The shuttle service began running regular routes between Mustang Ranch and The Grove apartments this past Monday.  The shuttle services will continue to run this route Monday through Friday every week and are making stops every 15 minutes. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Tarleton has a Shuttle Service tracking app. In the iTunes app store or in the Google Play store, type in “Ride Systems”. Inside the app, select Tarleton as the tracking spot and it opens up to a menu that has four tabs: Take a Tour, Change Agency, Reload Map and Alerts.

Take a Tour gives you a brief course of how to work the app. It starts by showing you the routes that the shuttle in your area takes where you can toggle between all of the routes or just see the active ones in your area. It shows you things from drawing your route to estimate how long a route would take. You can also click on a stop to show more information about that stop. You can also add a location to your favorites.

Changing your agency means to pick a different place other than Tarleton for shuttle routes around Texas.

Reload Map refreshed the page. Alerts tells you anything that is going on within the app.

The app can be very handy and useful for tracking the routes for Tarleton’s Shuttle Service so that you won’t forget and so you don’t have to remember and search for the routes every time.
